Well, thus far, there are only selected screencaps from ep 25 up. (Because that's, y'know the Vash/Meryl ep. Hee.) These are all snatched off Real Player, which was trying to thwart me for a while. Ah, but I prevailed. So, here, Have some screencaps. Not in any particular order, and not thumbnailed, 'cause I'm lazy.
Meryl leaning against a wall, looking distraught. Poor distraught Meryl.
Meryl, again ... closer up.
Vash. What pretty eyes he has. And randomly, his eyebrows are a lot darker than his hair.
Eh heh... No, he's not on crack. Although he might as well be. He's actually staring in wide-eyed amazement at Meryl. Well, actually, I'm not sure I'd call that wide-eyed as much as freaking out. I think this is at the point where he's seeing Rem in Meryl. Hence the freaking out. Though, actually, this is not the easiest episode for our lovey Vash...
Vash, again. Tied up. And looking sad. And stuff.
Vash... some subtitles I can't read... I think this is when Meryl's makin' her speech. ...And this leads me to a question. What exactly does Vash put in his hair to make it stand up like that? I mean, it doesn't do that naturally, as these pics attest to. The man must have some killer hair gel. (And I swear to god, if you start making There's Something About Mary jokes, I will hurt you.)
Meryl, with a dopey expression on her face. A VERY dopey expression.
Meryl, convincing the guy not to shoot. At least, I think that's what she's doing. I couldn't... understand the episode that well. (I mean, aside from the obvious visuals, and the occasional Japanese word I know.)
Meryl. Now this is just pretty.
Meryl, putting her hand over the guy's gun. ...Just a very interesting shot. I like it.
Vash and Meryl on a cliff. Starry, starry night... oo, so pretty.
Still on the cliff. ...Meryl looks sort of weird in this shot. Ah, well. I still like it.
Meryl sort of looking at Vash. This picture is adorable. (Is she blushing, or am I nuts?)
Meryl walking toward the gunman, Vash and Milly behind her. Again, this is just an interesting shot. Also not of very good quality. Oh well, it's Real Player. I'm happy with it.
Vash hugging Meryl. View of Vash's face and the back of Meryl's head. (Somethin' sad: I took NINE shots of this hug scene. Oy.)
Vash... still hugging Meryl. Shot of his face, again. Only, uh, you can see him better. And his eyes are open.
Meryl is startled. ...Well, she is.
Startled, but happy. ...Well, she is.
Okay, this is scary. Really.
And hugging... turns to squeezing. And Meryl screeches, and Vash streams happy tears.
And squeezing turns to twirling. I can't help but think... it's a good thing Vash never had any pets.
...Still twirling her about. Poor Meryl. That's gotta be bad for one's stomach.
...Twirling.... Well, at the end of this whole sequence, she gets herself loose by punching him. Heh.
Sequence of Rem/Meryl shots: One, two, threeee!
Another sequence of shots. I just thought this part was really neat. Vash walks out the door, and the scene sort of switches from his feet to Meryl's. It's nifty. (And, random insane note: this little scene sums up... or, exactly is dream&duty. Er, I'm weird, but: Vash's feet, Vash moving forward toward duty. Meryl slowly fading in, behind: dream. ...Yes, I'm weird.)
First. Second. Third.
...Well, we'll add more screencaps eventually. But for now, that's it. Oh, and should you (by some strange, strange chance) wish to use these screencaps — feel free. Hell, they're not very good, anyway.
