Hello there, and welcome to Fangirl Anime Reviews, a page dedicated to ... babbling, a lot. What is this place? Simple -- a page for us to put reviews for anime series we've seen. Note that they probably won't be useful, as they will be incredibly biased. We're predisposed to liking certain things, and you'll see it. However, if -- like us -- you, too are a fangirl who loves her shoujo and her prettyboys, you might find this a wee bit helpful.

Then again, helpfulness was not our aim in making this page. Our aim in making this page was to let us talk about how much we love or hate certain series. And boy, do we love and hate them.

Which brings me to another disclaimer: there is very little middle ground with us. We either love something, or we hate it -- extremely. We'll shower praise on things we like -- even if we mock them a bit -- and will rip to shreds what we don't.

A lot of what we review is probably going to be shoujo. Not all of it, mind you... because when it comes down to it, we like and will watch just about anything.

Who are we?

I run Greenbird, and I'll probably be doing most of the reviews. Note that the other reviews will be much better.

Angie
My elder sister. I recently pulled her into the world of anime after her two-year resistance. Now she's as bad as I am.

Brinson
My partner in Xeno and X-lovin' crime, of Sourdough. She got me into anime. She's the one most artistically inclined... and you'll see that.

Guests
...If I can convince Julie to write an occasional review or two...

You'll notice that we sometimes will review the same thing. This just means you get two or three valuable opinions instead of just one. Also, none of us can actually read Japanese, so bear this in mind while reading our manga reviews.

We'll be grading/scoring to grade each anime in a number of different categories, and then averaging out the total to get a final score/grade. (Note: movies will be a bit different in terms of categories.) These categories are:

Story/Plot: ...Obviously.
Characters: Uh, likability, I guess.
Art and Animation: Pretty pretty!
Flow: How well the episodes flow together.
Music: ...It's called, Is there a God?
Humor: Yup.
Romance: We'll skip this category for some.
Addiction Factor: ...Some things you just can't stop watching.
Emotional Impact: Did it hurt?
Intelligence: Unlike me.
Coherency: Eva will be getting LOW on this one.

We'll also split them into genres, according to where we think they fit. Note that some will overlap. Note also that we don't actually have much of a clue what we're doing. Watch us completely make genres up. Note also that our scoring system may be a bit wonky, but give less than a damn.
